Game-week software · American football

The week doesn’t lose games. The loose ends do.

CoachingHQ is where a football staff plans the game week, assigns the work by name, and gets the buses, the meal count and the eligibility list handled before Friday. One board. Nine coaches. No more 11pm group text asking who ordered the food.

No card to start. Built for high school and small-college staffs.

What actually goes wrong

Nobody forgets the game plan. They forget the logistics.

A coaching staff already knows how to teach a defense. What breaks down is the ten-person handoff around it — and it breaks in the same three places every season.

  • The bus request nobody sent

Transportation needs 72 hours. Somebody assumed somebody else did it, and now the sophomore team is on a 14-passenger van.

  • The player who was never cleared

A grade check came back Tuesday. It lived in one coach’s inbox until kickoff, when it became everyone’s problem.

  • Four versions of the same message

Departure time went out in a group text, a team app, a hallway conversation and a parent’s screenshot. Two of them were wrong.

Three things, done properly

Plan the week. Split the work. Say it once.

The game-week planner

Every week is a row of days, Sunday through Saturday, with the opponent, the kickoff, and this week’s emphasis sitting at the top of it. Tasks live on the day they have to happen, not in a list that keeps growing.

Underneath it, a practice script built by period and unit — indy, pass pro, team run fit, special teams — with the install written next to each one so the staff walks onto the field with the same plan.

  • Sunday-to-Saturday board per week
  • Minute-by-minute practice script
  • Roll unfinished work into next week

Staff, roster and the board between them

Assign a task to a coach by name and it stops being ambient. Blocked work says what it is waiting on. Unclaimed work is visible to everyone, which is usually all it takes. The roster carries availability and eligibility, so the depth chart conversation starts from the truth.

Logistics that bite

Travel with a real itinerary, equipment with reconditioning dates, and facility bookings that flag a double-booked film room the moment you save it.

One message, one time

Post to staff, players, parents or everyone. Staff notes carry read receipts, so you know whether the coordinator saw the change before Tuesday.

Sunday to Friday

Shaped like your week, not like a project tool.

Nothing here is a generic board with columns you have to invent. The week already has a shape. CoachingHQ starts from it.

Before the next Sunday

Set up your program in about ten minutes.

Create the program, hand your staff the code, and start the week on the board instead of in six places. Your first game week comes pre-built so you can see how it works before you type anything.
